The Luffy Route

ST01-012 is Luffy's SuperRare printing from the original Straw Hat Crew starter deck (ST-01). The starter-deck path puts him in a collection through the game's most accessible product, not a showcase pull.

OP01-024 is Luffy's character card in OP-01, ROMANCE DAWN — the first booster set the game ever released. It's the origin point for a Luffy collection: not the rarest printing available, but the first one that exists.

P-001 is a Promo-category Luffy printing, distributed outside the regular booster and starter lineup. Promo is a distribution channel, not automatically a higher rarity or a different treatment — the same lesson the route keeps returning to.

OP09-036 is a Common-rarity Luffy printing from OP-09, EMPERORS IN THE NEW WORLD. A regular booster pull can carry the route just as well as a rare one — collecting Luffy doesn't require chasing rarity from the first card.

OP11-080 is catalogued as the Event card ‘Gear Two,’ tied to Luffy's signature technique rather than to a character portrait. An Event card can carry a Luffy moment just as directly as a Character card — the route isn't limited to portraits of him.

OP12-039's own catalogued title says it outright: ‘Luffy Is the Man Who Will Become the King of Pirates!!!’ — and its effect text explicitly sets a Roronoa Zoro Leader active. The declaration is Luffy's, but the card mechanically speaks through Zoro — a reminder that Luffy's identity in this game is built through his crew, not only through his own cards.

ST01-001 is Luffy's Leader card from the original Straw Hat Crew starter deck (ST-01), block 1 — the same product line the Section 1 starter-deck card came from. It's the natural first Leader for a collector who already owns the ST-01 starter: the bridge into play starts with a deck already in hand.

OP05-060 is a later Luffy Leader from OP-05, AWAKENING OF THE NEW ERA, with its own Once-Per-Turn ability built around Life cards and DON!! cards. A second Leader means a second deck-building direction — the bridge to play isn't limited to one version of Luffy.

OP09-061 is the most recent Leader printing in this route, from OP-09, EMPERORS IN THE NEW WORLD, with a cost-scaling ability tied to DON!! cards returning to the deck. It closes the Bridge to Play section on the newest available build — a route that started at the first set ends at the current one.
